Description

PlayCV is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to create opportunities that foster academic and personal growth through diverse enrichment activities and joyful play for all students. We strive to bring enrichment programs that both introduce and deepen subject matters of interest. Our intention is to foster team and individual growth while developing social interactions. All of our programs take place onsite at one of Castro Valley Unified School District’s elementary or middle schools.


We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Assistant Coaches for our Leagues Youth Badminton Program. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with kids, love sports, and want to build leadership and teamwork skills.

Requirements

  • Assist the Head Coach in leading badminton drills, games, and activities.
  • Help supervise children to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Set up and take down nets, equipment, and supplies before and after sessions.
  • Model good sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
  • Communicate effectively with the Head Coach and participants.

Schedule:

  • Saturdays only, starting March 14th through May 16th, 2026
    • No camp on March 28th and April 4th 
  • Program hours will be 3-5 hours in Castro Valley
  • Assistants must be available for the full 10-week program

Qualifications:

  • Responsible, reliable, and punctual
  • Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Have patience, compassion, and kindness.

Preferred:

  • Interest in badminton, coaching, or working with kids

This is a part-time, seasonal position. All candidates must be able to submit to a TB test and LiveScan fingerprinting or provide a work permit if applicable.
