Job Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, early morning start; overtime and weekends as needed
Role Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily receiving operations, ensuring safety and process standards are met, and supporting the development of the warehouse team. This role coordinates inbound shipments, maintains accurate records, escalates issues, and serves as a key link between warehouse operations and suppliers. The Warehouse Lead also partners closely with the Warehouse Manager to manage priorities, team performance, and continuous improvement.
Success in this role is measured by consistent compliance with safety standards, zero recordable injuries, on-time same-day receiving of trucks, high palletizing First-Pass Yield (FPY) with low defect rates, and reduced cabinet damages or incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Leadership
• Lead, coach and supervise a team of Warehouse Clerks
• Provide hands-on training and coaching to improve team skills and performance
• Monitor team performance and ensure quality and productivity expectations are met
• Conduct audits to maintain quality and safety standards.
Operational Oversight & Reporting
• Serve as liaison with 3rd party carriers, communicating truck delays, escalating issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Manage and update the forecast for incoming trucks to support staffing and scheduling decisions.
• Lead the team in unloading and receiving incoming trucks, ensuring adherence to safety and process standards.
• Print item lists from Dynamics CRM for all incoming homes
• Mark cabinets after unload to expedite palletizing and assign slots for each home
• Escalate damages, DNRs and backorders promptly.
• Accurately receive all homes in Dynamics CRM updating records with clear notes on backorders and damages.
• Participate in supplier meetings to highlight and track defects on incoming trucks, cabinets, or service materials.
• Collaborate daily with the Warehouse Manager to prioritize trucks, manage time effectively, and assign tasks during non-truck activity (“slow time”)
• Delegate tasks to the receiving team and provide backup support for the Warehouse Service Clerk as needed.
• Update operational metrics and monitor warehouse material supply levels, communicating when reorders are required.
Warehouse Cleanliness & Safety
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in line with 5s standards
• Ensure company safety policies and procedures are adhered to all times.
• Identify and report safety concerns or hazards to management immediately.
• Foster a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Safety
o 100% compliance with PPE and safe handling procedures.
o Zero recordable injuries or OSHA violations.
o Participation in monthly safety training.
• Receiving
o Palletizing First-Pass Yield (FPY)
o Escaped Defect Rate for palletizing
o On Time Receiving: unload and receive trucks same day
o Cabinet Damage/Incidents per Month
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior warehouse, logistics, or construction material handling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of receiving processes, carrier communication, and inventory management systems (Dynamics CRM experience a plus).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities across internal teams, suppliers, and carriers.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs regularly.

• Ability to work in indoor and semi-outdoor warehouse conditions.
