As we continue to scale, we're strengthening our Engineering team. As an Engineering Manager at GlossGenius, you will lead a team critical to delivering value to our 100,000+ business owners.</p> <p class="whitespace-normal break-words">Depending on the team, you'll either be supporting product engineering teams that build customer-facing experiences or platform engineering teams that provide the foundation and infrastructure for all of engineering.&nbsp;Your team will work across backend, frontend, and mobile stacks to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Whether you're driving features that directly impact our customers' success or enabling engineering velocity and reliability across the organization, your leadership will be key to helping GlossGenius move faster, build better, and scale with confidence.</p> <p>We default to being in-office 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop a team of senior and staff engineers, understanding their skills and fostering their professional growth to achieve daily tasks and long-term career goals.</li> <li>Work closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to define the long-term technical and product strategy and the necessary steps for its realization.</li> <li>Prioritize, plan, and ensure team and cross-functional alignment to execute key initiatives and achieve business results.</li> <li>Establish and implement effective engineering processes focused on quality and progress in key product initiatives.</li> <li>Collaborate with recruiting to build and retain a high-performing engineering team by attracting top talent.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years as a people manager.</li> <li>Led two or more engineering pods with a proven ability to lead teams through technical leads or people managers.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in collaborating with product/program managers, designers, and peers to develop plans, manage expectations, and deliver new products and features (0 to 1).</li> <li>Strong business acumen and customer-centric approach, supported by data analytics skills.</li> <li>Solid technical understanding, capable of guiding technical discussions despite this being a non-coding role.</li> <li>Experience in recruiting and building high-performing teams for future GlossGenius products.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits &amp; Perks&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexible PTO</li> <li>Competitive health &amp; dental insurance options, with premiums partially or fully covered by GG</li> <li>In-person opportunities that are designed to help team members foster collaboration and build community (ie; working out of a co-working space, team dinners, and other team building activities)</li> <li>Fertility and adoption benefits via Carrot</li> <li>Generous, fully-paid parental leave policy</li> <li>401k benefit - employees are eligible to contribute starting day 1 of employment</li> <li>Professional Development - employees receive a yearly stipend for approved learning and educational-related expenses</li> <li>Pre-tax commuter benefits</li> <li>Dependent Care FSA</li> <li>Home office support</li> </ul> <p><em>The starting base salary for this role is between $193,000 - $250,000 + target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education.
