About the Role

About the role 

Responsible for implementation, maintenance and testing of fire detection, alarm and firefighting systems in the buildings of Qatar Airways. In addition, responsible for conducting regular inspections and implementation of fire safety measures in the Commercial as well as Residential Buildings. Responsible for adherence, implementation, monitoring of Fire hazards related contents of Safety Policy of Qatar Airways. Promptly provide any feedback to the management in the eventuality of any risks.

 

Accountabilities

▪ Implement maintenance services of fire alarm and firefighting systems as per the approved maintenance program, schedules and maintain records up to date.

▪ Responsible for to monitor all the preventive and corrective maintenance activities of fire safety systems and ensure that the Service Providers are performing maintenance services as per the OEM recommendations/QCD standards and report to the Line Manager in case of any deviations.

 ▪ Monitor the Service Providers performance and prepare the performance evaluations reports to ensure Service Providers maintains high level performance and meets Contracts service level agreements.

 ▪ Monitor and control all fire safety systems isolations/impairments in the Commercial/Residential buildings and ensure all isolated/impaired devices are fully restored, operational and records are maintained up to date. 

▪ Audit and evaluate fire systems within QR buildings and premises to identify inherent shortcomings, system failure and or required improvement in existing Fire system assess whether control measures have been implemented

 ▪ Report on the suitability and sufficiency of existing fire system arrangements in new properties identified for leasing/existing offices modifications and identify solutions to address any areas of deficiency in order to minimize fire risks and hazards.

▪ Should have certification in Fire Safety from the recognized institute/organization 

▪ Experience in Gulf region having a certificate of registration with authorities from any of the Gulf countries where the applicant has resided

▪ Should have a valid Qatar driving license 

▪ Understanding and experience of Risk assessment procedures

 ▪ Experience of using Microsoft office applications, report preparation, email communications
