Job Description

The Barista is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through the preparation and service of high-quality non-alcoholic beverages. This role focuses on consistency, presentation, service excellence, and operational standards while creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere that reflects the brand’s service culture.

  • Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control of all drinks
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere at the bar and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests politely and efficiently
  • Set up and close the bar according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of bar counters, equipment, and utensils
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and storage of all beverages and garnishes
  • Record sales accurately and handle cash, credit cards, or room charges responsibly
  • Report shortages, breakages, or discrepancies to management
  • Adhere to local laws and company safety regulations
  • Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Coordinate with waitstaff and kitchen for smooth service
  • Attend daily briefings and participate in staff training sessions
  • Support colleagues during peak hours to maintain efficiency

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the beverage department with prior experience in a high-end beach club or a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the restaurant’s specialized beverage menu, including a detailed understanding of ingredients, preparation methods, or drink pairings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and assist guests with confidence and professionalism.
  • Ability to memorize and explain menu items in detail, providing guests with an educational and enriching dining experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering high-quality experience
