As the Donor Experience & Events Manager you will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of events and experiences that inspire giving, deepen donor engagement, and advance the philanthropic goals of St John of God Foundation. This role ensures that events are executed with excellence, aligned to brand and fundraising goals, and deliver measurable impact.
As the leader of donor experience and events within the campaign team, this role provides strategic oversight of integrated marketing and communications campaigns, working closely with the Donor Communications & Content Specialist and Donor Stewardship Specialist to deliver cohesive and compelling engagement strategies.

The Position
Strategic Event Planning & Execution
Lead the design and delivery of a bespoke program of donor immersion, stewardship, and fundraising events aligned to national campaigns.
Manage all event logistics, including budgeting, venues, suppliers, risk management, and operational delivery.
Oversee event-day execution to ensure seamless, personalised experiences that deepen donor relationships.
Develop and implement stewardship strategies that recognise, retain, and grow donor engagement.
Plan and execute donor engagement and recognition events in collaboration with Donor Stewardship Specialist and internal teams.
Ensure all events and donor experiences reflect the Foundation’s values of compassion, respect, and excellence.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of integrated marketing, PR, and communications campaigns supporting fundraising priorities.
Collaborate closely with the Donor Communications & Content Specialist to develop and execute campaign plans and collateral.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, volunteers, clinical teams, and senior leadership to ensure collaborative campaign delivery.
Coordinate with external vendors, sponsors, and community partners to support event and campaign goals.
Manage event budgets ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet fundraising targets.
Monitor and evaluate event outcomes, producing reports on donor engagement and return on investment.
You will have 7 years’ experience in event management, preferably in a fundraising or non-profit setting, with demonstrated success in delivering events that engage donors or stakeholders. You will have proven end-to-end event management experience with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and logistics across multiple events simultaneously.
This role requires flexibility to work outside of usual business hours as required on events important to the Foundation.
To succeed you will possess a Tertiary qualification in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Fundraising, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) and a valid C class drivers license with access to a reliable vehicle.

Located in Perth CBD office with 40% work from home option
