📍 Location: Gateshead, UK
💰 Pay: £12.60 per hour (site rated)
📅 Hours: 25 hrs per week -  Monday to Friday 1600-2100

As a Mobile patrol officer at Securitas, you’ll do more than protect what’s important—you’ll empower people to thrive. Your presence will make others feel safe, welcome, and supported.

Whether you’re patrolling key areas, managing gatehouse duties, or being the friendly face clients rely on, as a Mobile patrol officer you’ll be an essential part of something bigger, every shift is a new chance to learn, grow, and make a difference.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Provides a variety of mobile security services including but not limited to locks, unlocks, patrols both external and internal, alarm response, vacant property inspections, escort services etc.
• Remaining professional, polite and helpful to clients, client’s staff and Securitas colleagues at all times.
• Taking direction from the Team Leaders.
•  Always wears the company uniform. Including visually always displaying SIA license and security ID card.
• Complete vehicle handovers and checks at the beginning and end of shift.
• Whist driving the company vehicle abides by the rules of the road, (Highway code) and always drives with due care and attention, being courteous to other road users, and does not bring the company name or brand into disrepute.
• Always ensure security of the company vehicle and all equipment.
• Ensure the correct key management process is followed when removing and replacing keys.
• Ensure all assignments (Jobs) are always completed in line with the site’s assignment instructions.
• Conduct a dynamic hot risk assessment when arriving at a client site.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA licence.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Flexibility.
• IT Skills.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
