About the Role

Description

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building materials company, is seeking a Full-Time Accounting Specialist for our Corporate office in Clearwater FL.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Accounts Payable Team with various tasks such as processing emails, coding invoices, posting vendor payments, and reviewing vendor statements.
  • Reconcile daily Cash Receipt Journals for the assigned yards.
  • Research and clean up AP and APPO accounts. Work with AP team, yards and vendor on discrepancies.
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliation of various accounts such as (but not limited to) prepaids, AR Other, and Rebates. 
  • Record bank transactions (i.e. Non-AR Cash Receipts, bank fees, NSF, LOC transfers).
  • Assist assigned yards with various issues that may arise.
  • Sales tax reconciliation and filing.
  • Responsible for various month-end duties, such as store and yard use, accrue tax on purchases, inventory adjustments, and transfers.
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is a plus; Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree required
  • Accounting experience is helpful
