Summary:
The Data Entry Specialist – eCommerce plays a critical role in maintaining and updating product listings, inventory and to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our online sales operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong computer proficiency, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to accuracy and organization. The ideal candidate can manage multiple tasks and ensure that all eCommerce data is entered and maintained accurately.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creation of Product Pages and SKUs in our Point of Sale System and on our Website
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, essential for representing Gardner White's quality products online.
- Prior experience in data entry is required, preferably in a retail or ecommerce setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data organization and management.
- Comfortable and proficient in using Google Drive products for collaboration and document sharing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties/projects as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
The position will operate in an office setting.
Physical Demands:
The role includes prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and carry products up to 50lbs
Travel
The role will require limited travel throughout the metro Detroit area for training initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications needed to perform this position:
- Familiarity with Storis software, a common system in the furniture retail industry, is highly favorable.
- Prior experience with data entry within any Point of Sale (POS) system, especially within a retail context, would be considered valuable.
- Experience with ecommerce product attribution and understanding of how product information is presented online for furniture and home goods.
- Prior experience or understanding of the furniture retail industry, including product knowledge and terminology, is highly beneficial.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position, Monday-Friday schedule. Flexible options available, depending on individual needs and ability to meet data entry metrics in the Gardner White retail environment.
