POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a team member who loves the outdoors, is observant, able to follow check lists and wants to be part of the crew that  contributes to the overall natural and physical beauty of the Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort. In keeping with the natural landscape here, it is desirable that the candidate has related experience or a desire to learn these skills.

Responsibilities

The Landscaper will participate in sustainable landscape maintenance practices and gardening projects as directed by the Landscaping Supervisor. Tasks include, but are not limited to pruning, trimming, mulching, weeding, seeding, transplanting, fertilizing, amending, mowing, irrigation design and installation as well as repairs, all manner of watering, deadheading, shoveling, raking, sweeping, composting, repair and up keep of stone work, maintenance of pathways, and landscape areas around soaking pools and ponds, operating standard landscaping equipment, maintaining records in the form of checklists, tool inventory and maintenance.

• This job summary is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be requested to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by their supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Previous experience is a plus as well as an ability to multi task. Training is available.
• Applicant must be agile and dexterous.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude are requisite.
• Dependability and the ability to follow instructions as well as working alone and with the team is required.
• Ability to work the schedule assigned.
• Good body mechanics are important.
• A willingness to be in the great outdoors at all times regardless of weather conditions is a must.
• Good driving record.
• Some weekend work may be required.
