About the Role

Description

The Control Valve Product Engineer is responsible for contributing to the growth of the business in AL, MS, GA, LA and FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for sizing new applications, quoting valves and working with the existing sales team on control valve projects. This position is the direct point of contact for the control valve manufacture.


Essential Functions

1. Identifying customer needs and problems with a proactive approach related to control valve opportunities.

2. Reviewing customer specifications.

3. Present creative solutions to customers that provide improved performance & cost savings.

4. Utilize factory sizing program to select control valves for specific applications.

5. Quoting prices that align with sales strategies and objectives.

6. Maintaining customer records using automated CRM systems (HubSPot).

7. Preparing and entering orders into the ERP systems (NetSuite).

8. Collaborating to exchange market information and selling strategies with the sales team.

9. Providing regular sales forecasts and appropriate feedback.

10. Serves as a technical resource to customers and the Outside Sales Team.

11. Partner with company sales representatives and management to increase business.

Requirements

Competencies 

1. Strong Mechanical and Problem Solving Skills.

2. Good Communication, Customer Service and Consultative Skills.

3. Strong work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervision.

4. Reliable and punctual.

5. Able to use computer and Microsoft Suite.

6. Candidates with prior field experience with control valves are encouraged to apply.

Willing to train the right candidate.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
