WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Team Lead- AP, you are responsible for the daily operation within the team. You will provide direction, instructions, and guidance to the team members. You are the staff responsible for your team members & you will guide and lead the team according to H&M values and guidelines. You are leading the daily operations in the designated Accounts Payable team by ensuring that assigned responsible areas are handled according to the AP processes in a timely manner. You develop and improve our way-of-working with AP processes and are responsible for enabling efficient collaboration to facilitate global support in an optimized manner.

- Work closely with your manager to ensure alignment of goals and priorities
- Develop and implement operational and new initiatives
- Responsible for planning and distribution of team workload and tasks in their daily operations
- Motivate, delegate and inspire the team members in their daily work
- Work closely with your Department Manager to ensure alignment of goals and priorities and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
- Staff responsible for your team members
- Share your learnings and knowledge to develop and improve the way-of-working in the accounts payable process
- Work closely with the Process Lead and Process Expert and other functions to ensure alignment of goals and priorities
- Planning on how to deploy new initiatives in terms of developing the accounts payable process according to the functions vision
- Ensure quality within your area through guidance of other accounting department and functions.
- Ensure that necessary information is received and shared with your colleagues.
- Take responsibility for your own increased understanding and knowledge about the processes and
- routines within H&M
- Responsible to communicate guidelines and educate stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure compliance
- Ability to maintain a good network with other functions
- Provide training material/e-learning for accounts payable systems and processes
- Be a global super user for accounts payable. Be able to answer how-to-questions from internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain a super user network.
- Being accountable and meet the legal obligations in reference to local laws, regulations and requirements
- Procure services and negotiate agreements with external stakeholders
- Ensure clear communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for procurement regarding the team for AP responsible areas
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
At H&M Group, you will be part of the Accounts Payable team in Global Accounting within the Shared Services. Our mission is to ensure quality within the area through guidance of other accounting department and functions. The team lead and develop the global accounts payable processes & accountable for enabling efficient collaboration to facilitate global support in an optimized manner.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with:
- Accounting skills (4-8 years of experience within a similar role, good knowledge of the legal local requirements)
- Process competence (incl. technical skills, system integrations, being able to handle machine learning and automation)
- An understanding and a good knowledge of our agreements (purchasing agreements, supplier agreements, bank agreements) and how they affect our processes.
- Communication skills –training others and giving both internal and external support in all communication channels and forums.
- Planning and optimizing
- Responsible for our global guidelines and policies
- Both written and oral English skills are mandatory
- Experience of running and developing new and existing processes, for example new initiatives regarding processes within AP
- SAP experience is mandatory
- Experience of having worked in a shared service center is an advantage
- Experience of RPA and machine learning is an advantage
