The Mounting Technician will report to the Mounting Foreman. 


Job Summary

The Mounting Technician will be an essential member of Electrical Power Products, Inc.’s production and assembly. This individual will be responsible for assembling and installing electrical structures and components per layout and wiring diagram drawings.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Read all wiring, layout, and structural drawings.
  • Operate all department tools and equipment.
  • Familiar with and know how to perform all phases and types of panel assembly and equipment installation.
  • Install all types of nameplates and mimic.
  • Provide proper clearance for all equipment operations and customer wiring to eliminate all interferences.
  • Make diligent effort to spot possible errors or discrepancies in all phases of work including wiring, layout and structural drawings and bring them to the proper authority.
  • Install electrical components per layout and wiring diagram drawings.
  • Fabricate cutouts in panels using a jigsaw.
  • Review paperwork.
  • Verify all material matches the bill of materials.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and well organized. 
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Experience in using hand and power tools. 
  • Ability to assist and support others. 


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to continuously speak, hear, and see (close up, distance, and depth perception).
  • Frequent standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and handling. 
  • Commonly lifting/moving of up to 40 lbs. individually. 
  • Occasionally lifting/moving 50-100 lbs. with assistance. 
  • Exposure to loud noises, drilling, cutting, banging, and typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
