The Transport Load Specialist will plan, coordinate, and oversee the shipping of goods from the point of packaging to the point of delivery. The Specialist is responsible for the timely and undamaged delivery of goods. They will monitor deliveries based on shipment agreements and comply with deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange efficient delivery routes and dispatch drivers
- Communicate with drivers for all loading/offloading capabilities.
- Maintain and respond to complaints or feedback from clients and drivers, directing them to suitable parties if necessary.
- Document driver concerns and driver policy violations, referring to a senior employee if necessary.
- Communicate with in-house staff on completed deliveries.
- Support, when needed, Transportation Specialist I and II on open items.
- Manage and maintain shipment records on in process and completed deliveries.
- Participate in weekly Professional and company Goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Calls Customer to verify shipments and any Accessorial needs.

Education:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years in the transportation field preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience preferred
Job Conditions
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Must be able to bend and reach items at ground level and above the head.
- Prolonged periods setting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to wear PPE; to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, face shields.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures; requires adherence to safety protocols and teamwork in a production-driven atmosphere.
