Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Description:
Sand and buff painted guitar bodies and necks. Prepare parts for finish, seal, dye, repair and clean-up work, final manual cleaning, and organize product. Cross-train to other duties within the Paint department as needed by the department.
Job Duties Include:
- Operate a buffing wheel and hand polish guitar necks and guitar bodies
- Operate an electric and pneumatic sander and hand sand to prep surfaces for a variety of finishes
- Inspect necks and bodies to be painted for repair, prepping and/or painting defects
- Performance evaluation is based on both quality and efficiency – working at a quick pace while maintaining superior quality standards
- Ensure health & safety of yourself and others by following policies, procedures and act in a safe manner at all times
Requirements:
- Good vision to include close and distance vision, depth perception, ability to focus and be able to distinguish color hues in various lighting
- Hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for fine detail sanding
- Attention to detail
- Physically fit to be able to work standing for an 8-hour period and lift 30 pounds
- Able to bend, reach and twist upper and lower body
- Conscientious of safety (safety equipment provided)
- Tolerant of the dusty environment, wood preservers, solvents
- Positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to stay focused and alert while performing repetitive tasks
- Dependable
- Strong work ethic

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience with equipment related to painting and finishing (spray guns, sanders, paint booths, buffers, etc.) is a plus
