Position Overview:


We are currently seeking a high-level Inside Sales Account Representative. This role is an opportunity for a highly technical, microelectronics background experienced person to join a company with a strong growth path in front with a lot of opportunity. The person in this position will be a highly-valued member of our sales team whose ideas and opinions will be sought after in our strive to continuously improve. The Inside Sales Account Representative is responsible for managing and growing relationships with existing customers in the aerospace and defense industry. This role focuses on selling Spirit’s range of microelectronics, semiconductors, and EEE products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background as well as technical knowledge. The Account Representative will manage and increase customer sales through contact with customers and buyers while nurturing business relationships initiated at the executive and senior sales level. The Account Representative will collaborate with technical sales and purchasing teams to prepare quotes, manage sales orders, and facilitate the order fulfillment process. This position also functions as a liaison between Spirit’s customers and OEMs. Technical competency; accuracy; attention to detail regarding part numbers, drawings, contracts; and MS Excel skills are mandatory.


Essential Job Functions:


· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers

· Develop and implement account strategies to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction

· Conduct regular account reviews to understand customer needs, challenges, and future requirements

· Present and promote Spirit’s customer solutions, line card, and engineering services to customers

· Develop customer opportunities and present to management

· Receive, process, and accurately complete requests for quote from customers based on needs, on-time delivery, contract requirements

· Execute customer sales orders and supplier purchase orders, managing change orders and expediting within the supply base to ensure suppliers’ and customers’ on-time delivery performance

· Collaborate with Spirit teams (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing) to ensure customer requirements are met

· Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics

· Negotiate quotes, sales, and purchase orders with customers

· Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively

· Process customer complaints through resolution and corrective action if necessary

· Monitor Spirit’s customer performance ratings and take necessary actions to improve customer satisfaction

· Monitor monthly communication and reporting to customers on aged and liability inventories, ensuring inventories are purchased by customers in a timely manner

· Attend customer business reviews and provide documentation and support for reviews

· Notify customers of product shipment holds, obsolescence, end-of-life, and allocation statuses

· Support the Spirit Quality Management System (QMS)

· Provide regular updates on account activities, sales forecasts, and market intelligence to management

· Maintain accurate quoting, order, and sales data in Spirit’s ERP system

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales experience preferably in aerospace and defense or related technical field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related field; technical background preferred
  • Strong understanding of microelectronics, semiconductors, and EEE components used in aerospace and defense applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at various organizational levels
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product information effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on long-term relationship building
  • Ability to address customer concerns and service issues
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
