Senior Technical Project Manager

Global Office Technology (GOT) Program

Overview

As a Senior Technical Project Manager within Salesforce’s Global Office Technology (GOT) program, you will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for leading some of the company’s most complex, global infrastructure initiatives. The GOT program oversees global office expansions, lifecycle management (technology refresh), and critical changes to Salesforce’s office IT infrastructure and backbone data center environments.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, partnering across Business Technology (BT) Platform Engineering, BT Product & Engineering, Enterprise Security, Operations, and external vendors to deliver infrastructure and security programs from strategy through execution. This role requires deep technical fluency, strong program leadership, and the ability to influence without authority across highly matrixed, global teams.

Your Impact

  • Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale, multi-region infrastructure and security programs with minimal oversight

  • Drive scope, schedule, financials, and risk management in alignment with business and technical objectives

  • Anticipate and resolve cross-team dependencies, escalations, and delivery risks before they impact outcomes

  • Balance competing priorities and constraints while facilitating technical trade-off decisions

  • Establish and reinforce program governance, delivery standards, and operating rhythms

  • Coach and influence project leads and engineering partners on BT project management best practices

  • Build trusted, executive-ready relationships across globally distributed, matrixed teams

  • Clearly communicate program status, risks, and business value to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in technical program or project management, with demonstrated IC-level ownership of complex initiatives

  • BS/BA in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and hybrid delivery models for infrastructure programs

  • Proven success leading enterprise infrastructure and/or security programs at scale

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present complex technical topics clearly

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, drive execution, and deliver results in ambiguous environments

  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to articulate business impact, customer value, and technical outcomes to senior audiences

  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative leadership style

Project Management Expertise:

  • Scope, schedule, and dependency management

  • Financial forecasting and budget tracking

  • Risk, issue, and change management

  • Resource and capacity planning

Desired Experience & Skills

  • Experience with the Salesforce platform and internal BT services

  • Public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)

  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, internet technologies, and relational databases

  • Active PMP and/or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification

Senior TPM Role Expectations

  • Recognized as a subject-matter expert in technical program delivery

  • Influences outcomes across organizations without formal authority

  • Owns programs with high ambiguity, scale, and business impact

  • Raises the bar for delivery rigor, operational excellence, and cross-team collaboration
