The Position:

We are recruiting a full time Senior Center Manager to work at our Senior Citizens Center in Metter, GA. This position will be responsible for Managing all aspects of Senior Nutrition Program at the county service center, including assistants, driver(s) and volunteers. Provides or arranges for a variety of services/activities designed to enhance clients’ health and well-being; Collaborates with other service providers and local businesses to ensure the maximum number of resources for Senior Citizens; Assesses congregate and home-delivered clients to determine level of need: Responsible for documenting, reporting, and maintaining data as assigned by Community Services Director. 

At a minimum, high school diploma or GED is required. Experience is preferred.

Hiring Range -$15.16-$16.38

Position Status: Full Time (non-exempt)

Job Purpose:

Manages all aspects of Senior Nutrition Program at the county service center, including assistants, driver(s) and volunteers. Provides or arranges for a variety of services/activities designed to enhance clients’ health and well-being; Collaborates with other service providers and local businesses to ensure the maximum number of resources for Senior Citizens; Assesses congregate and home-delivered clients to determine level of need: Responsible for documenting, reporting, and maintaining data as assigned by Community Services Director.    

Specific Requirements:

Knowledge: Local resources; computer operation; proper interaction with client population; organizational skills; effective communication skills; knowledge of program guidelines and procedures.

Leadership: Able to represent Agency in a variety of settings in Program Director’s absence

Supervisory: Required to supervise assigned staff and volunteers.

Language: English

Guidelines: Guidelines for each fund source vary.

Complexity: Moderately complex at times, due to necessity of managing multiple programs with varying guidelines at once.

Scope: Manage all aspects of Senior Center Programs.   

Environment: Office environment. Will be occasionally required to visit clients’ homes.

Contacts: Clients, Community Partners, Funding Source Representatives, CSI Administrative Staff

Physical: Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Travel: Local travel, occasional out of area travel

General Requirements:

Education:

Two years college or related experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily management of all assigned programs including supervision of assigned staff.
  • Assist program director in establishing program objectives.
  • Provide quality customer service to external and internal customers
  • Collaborate with community partners to increase positive outcomes for clients, community and agency.
  • Mobilize local resources to achieve program objectives.
  • Responsible for all agency assets assigned and for proper documentation of assets.
  • Responsible for maintaining electronic and/or paper client files and all other program documentation required.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all program contracts.
  • Responsible for collecting information and preparing reports as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe facility.
  • Responsible for conducting self-safety inspections, and for obtaining annual inspections conducted by a third party where required.
  • Attend and participate in training as assigned.
  • Maintain a private automobile with proper liability insurance and a Georgia Driver’s License.
