About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a hybrid Parts Advisor. This position is essential in ensuring our customers and service teams receive the right parts, on time, while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers and service technicians on the selection, availability, and suitability of automotive and manufacturing parts.
- Process parts sales, generate quotes, and handle returns efficiently.
- Manage inventory: receive, stock, and track parts to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Place orders for out-of-stock items and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Deliver parts to customers, service departments, and external clients using company vehicles, ensuring prompt and safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory movements, and customer interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and via email.
- Keep the parts department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist with promotional activities and suggest companion products to customers.
- Support the Parts Manager and collaborate with other departments as needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing parts (preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
- Customer service experience and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of automotive or manufacturing parts and processes
- Experience with sales, promotions, and inventory forecasting
- Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics
