About the Role

Description

To help color the world and bring excitement in the world of flowers to our customers. Under general direction, this is accomplished by ensuring that all seed and other related material is handled in an appropriate manner specific to that area and that processes are running smoothly and efficiently to meet management and/or customer requirements. This position is required to perform a wide variety of tasks based on previous training and employee will utilize their own judgment and discretion on many tasks. May or may not work under close direction/supervision.

Pick / Pack / Check / Ship seed
Operate shipping systems
Maintain inventory
Lifting / bending / stooping – see seed job descriptions for specifics
Retrieve seed from refrigerated vault and seed warehouse
Replenish pack and ship supplies
Use SAP and other system tools to manage materials and shipments
Assist with physical inventory
Perform quality checks
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Basic Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
Ability to work overtime on short notice
Ability to operate mechanical equipment, as this may be required in some areas
Work well as part of a team

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit/stand 100% of the day, standing for long periods of time
Ability to use fingers/hands 100% of the day
Ability to reach 25% of the day
Ability to push/pull up to 40 pounds
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in cold vault of 40 degrees for short periods of time

Hours: 9:30am-6:00pm

Pay: $16.00-20.00/Hour
