About the Role

Description

With general supervision, the APU Analyst is responsible to ensure that repaired parts for the meet the minimum quality standards as established by both the FAA and our customers.


Essential Functions:

· Perform dimensional and visual inspection requirements utilizing drawings, OEM manuals, and/or written instructions

· Record and document findings legibly and precisely

· Perform minor disassembly and assembly in accordance with inspection requirements

· Follow all company policies including safety instructions

· Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices

· Working knowledge of FAA requirements for repair stations (14 CFR Part 145 and Part 43)

· Work technical problems and provide innovative solutions

· Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction programs

· Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs
· Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the inspection of aircraft components, including disassembly, and assembly of APUs.

· Proper use of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, CMM’s, and other basic inspection tools.

· Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret dimensional drawings and OEM manuals.

· Have an understanding of fit, form, and function.

Preferred Education and Experience:

· A&P Mechanic Preferred, or prior holder of Repairman Certificate.
