About the Role

Description

JOB PURPOSE

To facilitate all functions pertaining to the warehouse operations and cleaning program. Assumes additional responsibilities as determined by the Warehouse Operations Manager or Supervisor. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for housekeeping duties of wholesale warehouse (sweeping, cleaning, assisting warehouse personnel as needed). 
  • Responsible for housekeeping duties of outdoor areas and storage yards.  
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment. 
  • Responsible for pest control, management, and documentation.
  • Manage inventory and pallet damage.
  • Clean and organize outside areas that are used for various functions.
  • Segregates and breaks down pallets as needed. 
  • Provide support to manufacturing departments by performing bagging duties.
  • May operate a forklift and other related warehouse equipment once training is completed. 
  • Keeps work area organized. 
  • Other duties as assigned.   

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Must be 18 years of age. 
  • Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred. 
  • Minimum six months experience in a large warehouse environment, with basic knowledge of warehouse practices. 
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize work.  
  • Must be able to work in and around a dust filled environment. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to safely and frequently lift and/or move up to 50-70 pounds. 
  • Job requires heavy physical activity including walking, bending, stooping, and squatting. 
  • Must be able to climb stairs. 
  • Must be able to safely use hands and arms in reaching and moving materials and products. 
  • Must be able operate warehouse cleaning equipment. 
  • Must be able to work in adverse conditions, indoors and outdoors.  

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Works closely with warehouse personnel and wholesale office staff. The successful candidate will have a positive, professional and safe attitude at all times. 


 SCHEDULE

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position. Shifts will generally be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The starting pay for this position is $20.00 per hour.
