<h2 style="text-align:center;">Facilities Maintenance Technician – Preschool Sites (Oʻahu)</h2><p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Daytime Hours)</strong><br><strong>$20–$30/hour DOE | $500 Hiring Bonus</strong></p><p>Kamaʻāina Kids is hiring a <strong>Facilities Maintenance Technician</strong> to help maintain safe, functional, and welcoming preschool environments across Oʻahu. This role is ideal for a reliable, experienced, hands-on professional who takes pride in fixing problems, maintaining spaces, and supporting environments where children learn and grow.</p><p>You’ll work across multiple preschool campuses, handling a wide range of general maintenance needs—from classroom repairs to playground upkeep—ensuring our facilities remain safe, clean, and operational.</p><h3>About the Role</h3><p>This is a <strong>generalist maintenance position</strong>, not a single-trade role. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable jumping between tasks, working independently, and solving problems efficiently in active school environments.</p><p>You’ll be trusted to assess issues, make safe repairs, and keep things running smoothly—often before small problems become big ones.</p><h3>What You’ll Be Doing</h3><ul><li><p>Assemble and repair classroom furniture, shelving, and storage units</p></li><li><p>Fix doors, cabinets, drawers, and classroom fixtures</p></li><li><p>Perform basic plumbing repairs, including sink and toilet clogs</p></li><li><p>Replace light fixtures, bulbs, and ceiling tiles</p></li><li><p>Handle patch painting, light drywall repair, and general upkeep</p></li><li><p>Inspect and maintain playground and outdoor equipment</p></li><li><p>Travel between preschool sites using a company vehicle</p></li><li><p>Help ensure all facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards</p></li></ul><h3>This Role Is a Good Fit If You Have:</h3><ul><li><p>Solid, hands-on experience in general maintenance or facilities work</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs</p></li><li><p>The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic</p></li><li><p>Comfort working in environments with children and understanding of safety expectations</p></li><li><p>A clean driving abstract and reliable transportation</p></li></ul><p><em>Experience in schools, childcare centers, property management, or similar settings is a strong plus.
