Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with strong experience in First Article Inspections (FAIs) to join our Quality team. This role will be highly focused on planning, performing, and documenting FAIs, along with receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with customer requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAIs) to customer drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections throughout manufacturing and assembly processes
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using a variety of inspection and measurement equipment, including: Calipers (analog, digital, vernier), Micrometers, height gages, scales, Ring, pin, and plug gages
- Utilize computer/software-assisted inspection equipment as applicable (CMM, articulating arm, vision measuring systems, environmental monitoring equipment)
- Accurately record inspection results and complete all required quality documentation
- Review inspection results for compliance and take appropriate action when discrepancies are identified
- Ensure inspection equipment integrity through proper use, handling, storage, and reporting of issues
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met and issues are resolved
- Support continuous improvement of quality system processes
- Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager or Director of Quality
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, inspection methodologies, and measurement equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionally interact with customers and coworkers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and CMM programming
- Manufacturing quality experience in regulated or precision environments
