About the Role

Description

The CNC Programmer/MIS (Manufacturing Implementation Specialist) is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC tube bending and fabrication equipment used to produce metal tube and hose assemblies for McGill Hose & Coupling customers. 


This role supports production efficiency, quality, and safety by developing accurate CNC programs, performing machine setups, and assisting with continuous improvement efforts across the shop floor.


This is a hands-on position working closely with Engineering, Sales, Quality, and Production teams to ensure safe, repeatable, and efficient fabrication processes.

Requirements

  

Responsibilities:

· Program and operate CNC tube bending and fabrication equipment using CAM software and machine controls.

· Assist with the development of CNC programs for new and existing tube and hose assembly jobs.

· Perform machine setup, tooling selection, and first-run production for new jobs.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications.

· Collaborate with Engineering and Sales to develop safe and efficient fabrication methods.

· Determine proper tooling, bend sequences, fixturing, and material removal rates.

· Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and material issues on the shop floor.

· Train and support production team members on CNC operation and setup.

· Maintain documentation for CNC programs, tooling, and work instructions.

· Follow all safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work area.

· Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.

· Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

  

Qualifications:

· 3 – 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (preferred)

· CAM software experience (preferred)

· Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

· Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

  

Education:

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Technical training or trade school preferred

Working Conditions:

· Exposure to fabrication equipment and industrial environments

· Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

· Use of PPE required

· Standing for extended periods 

· Regional travel as needed
