Summary/Objective
This is a paid apprenticeship for someone who wants real experience, real skills, and a real career path. Not a dead-end warehouse job. Not a temporary helper role.
As an Operations Assistant, you’ll support our commercial HVAC operations by helping in the warehouse, delivering materials, assisting on job sites, and learning how HVAC projects are planned, priced, and executed. If you show up, work hard, and want to learn, this role can grow into Project Management or Estimating.
*No HVAC experience required. We’ll train the right person.
Essential Functions
What You’ll Be Doing
Warehouse & Materials
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Receive and stage materials and equipment
- Help track inventory and identify shortages
- Load and unload trucks and equipment
Deliveries & Jobsite Support
- Deliver materials and tools to job sites
- Perform material haul-offs and jobsite cleanup
- Assist technicians and project teams as extra hands
- Help with jobsite setup, staging, and organization
Parts & Purchasing Support
- Assist with ordering parts and materials
- Pick up parts from suppliers when needed
- Verify materials match job needs and purchase orders
Safety Support
- Help maintain safe, clean job sites
- Assist with staging PPE and safety equipment
- Follow and support company safety policies
- Speak up if something doesn’t look safe
Learning Estimating & Projects
- Help gather jobsite information for estimates
- Assist with material lists and basic takeoffs
- Learn how labor and materials turn into pricing
- Participate in job reviews to understand what went right and wrong

What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets)
- Interest in construction, HVAC, or project management
Requirements
Qualifications:
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Warehouse or construction experience
- Familiarity with tools or job sites
- Trade school or technical coursework
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position involves working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Travel to onsite work locations is required, both within the state and occasionally out of state. Reliable transportation and flexibility with travel schedules are essential. All necessary safety equipment and training will be provided to ensure a secure and productive work environment.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role. This role requires the individual to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. This role requires the individual to make substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers often. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.
Candidates must be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions year-round. Responsibilities include frequent lifting and carrying of materials or equipment weighing up to 75 lbs, regular climbing and working from ladders, and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Local travel is required for this role.
