Summary of the Position: The Brewer I position serves as a core production role for brewing operations and is considered the apprentice level of the brewing trade. The Brewer I has a clear understanding of production flow and is responsible for all aspects of production from wort to bright beer and upholds the standards of quality set in place.
Key Accountabilities: Summarized but not limited to:
Brewer/Cellar
- In addition to the responsibilities of the assistant brewer, the Brewer I accountabilities include:
- Wort Production on both 90bbl and 30bbl brewhouses
- Cellar procedures including tank additions and clarification prep
- Centrifuge operation
- Equipment CIPs (Brewhouses, FVs, BBTs, pumping equipment)
- Facility Upkeep (keeping workstations and areas cleaned)
Requirements
1 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
High School Diploma/GED.
Specialized education/certificate preferred.
