Join us in transforming the way the world parks.</p></div><p><strong>Join Our Flash Team as a Field Technician!</strong></p> <p>The Field Technician provides regional, on-site support for Flash customers within an assigned territory. In partnership with the Flash Support Services team, this role plays a critical, customer-facing part in delivering FlashParking solutions in the field. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and supporting Flash equipment at client sites—ensuring all systems are fully functional, reliable, and meet project specifications prior to handoff.</p> <p>Working closely with Project Managers, internal teams, and external partners, this role blends electrical and networking expertise with strong problem-solving and communication skills to deliver high-quality installations and uphold FlashParking’s commitment to excellence.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who puts customers first, works well independently, enjoys travel, takes pride in completing tasks thoroughly, and brings strong customer service skills along with PARCS and troubleshooting experience.</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Northern CA</p> <p><strong>Travel:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Travel in the Northern California, as far south as San Luis Obispo/Bakersfield, up to 100%</li> <li>Be available to travel on short notice, such as same day, will be required.</li> <li>Be available for a monthly on-call schedule (from 4 pm to 8 am Monday through Friday and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday) with a two-hour response time.</li> <li>Be available during the on-call period where the technician might be required to spend time (4-5 hours) at specific sites.</li> <li>Be available for major special events in the area which the client may request a technician to be at the site during the event.</li> <li>The Field Technician may be assigned a company vehicle. When the company provides vehicles for field technicians, they are to drive for company-designated business only. The Fleet Vehicle SOP covers the policies for driving a company vehicle as well as for employees who wish to use their personal vehicle for company-designated business and reimbursement for costs associated with this business use.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage installations with guidance of the Project Manager - leveraging internal and partner relationships to fully understand the scope and nature of each assigned project as per the project manager.&nbsp;</li> <li>Commission and test all aspects and functionality of Flash equipment at the completion of installation.&nbsp;</li> <li>Service, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.&nbsp;</li> <li>Exhibit strong professional business ethics, including: building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication,</li> <li>Acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating FlashParking’s core values.</li> <li>Ensure all hardware, systems, and equipment are tested and working properly before leaving clients' locations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be familiar with various gate manufacturers and model/types in order to successfully program multiple variations per project nature and scope</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>What You Bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and associated components.</li> <li>General experience with low and high voltage wiring or commercial electrical knowledge.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with troubleshooting methodologies &amp; quality testing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Parking experience</li> <li>Ability to understand Flash Parking software solutions, capabilities, and installations, including a solid understanding of FlashParking hardware and associated troubleshooting techniques.</li> <li>Ability to quickly learn and understand new hardware/electronic components.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously in an uncontrolled environment (parking garage).&nbsp;</li> <li>General experience with low and high voltage wiring or commercial electrical knowledge.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience communicating with colleagues and customers in a technical support environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Comfortable using hand tools and a multimeter.</li> <li>Ability to use a personal computer and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PARCS experience</li> <li>Access Control/CCTV experience</li> <li>Comptia A+ certification a plus</li> <li>Network+ certification preferred</li> <li>Experience installing local networks and working with relays</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; Documentation skills&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Amazing attention to detail&nbsp;</li> <li>An “I’ve got this” attitude&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment</li> <li>A valid U.S. Driver’s License.&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree, Associate's Degree or a Technical School Certification in a related field (or equivalent education, plus customer support, project coordination, or account management experience) is preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Pay Rate: </strong>$40-$45/hr</p> <p>*Final salary will be determined based on candidate's skills and experience level.</p> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Competitive Rewards Package includes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li> <li>401(k) with company match</li> <li>Paid time off and flexible work environment</li> <li>Opportunities for professional growth and development</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Flash is committed to working with the broadest talent pool possible.
