[What you will be working on]
As part of our team, you'll be involved in the following key areas:
- Use data analytics to identify high-risk taxpayers and conduct audits on their compliance with GST rules and regulations.
- Prepare audit findings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Provide rulings on the interpretation of tax laws and the rationale behind tax policies.
- Reviews tax rules to achieve tax objectives and ensure clarity, by researching international tax practices and engaging the industry.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to continual improvement and enhancements in our work processes, by providing feedback and innovative ideas to improve taxpayers' compliance and streamline operations. In addition, you may also participate in ad hoc projects, applying your knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. RPA & data analytics) or methodologies (e.g. behavioural insights & design) to further enhance compliance and processes.
[What we are looking for]
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- A degree in Accounting or Business.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and GST.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Logical and systematic approach to handling and analysing information and data.
- Resourcefulness and ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical skills, coupled with a curious mindset to question and probe.
