Job Summary

The Marketing Manager for the credit union is responsible for leading and managing the efforts of the marketing team to plan and execute effective marketing campaigns that support the organization’s strategic goals. These efforts focus on driving growth, promoting community development, leveraging technology, increasing loan volume and enhancing the credit union’s visibility as a trusted Beacon of Excellence in the community.

  

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in      Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field 
  • Minimum 3F years of progressive      marketing experience including leadership and management responsibilities
  • A strong understanding of current      online marketing concepts, strategy, benchmarks and best practices. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office      (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Excel). CRM, HTML, SEO. 
  • Working knowledge of website content      management systems (CMS)

  • Ability to interpret data related to      member growth, loan volume and campaign performance
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a      marketing team, including vendors and consultants
  • Proficient at analyzing complex data      and metrics and interpreting actionable insights. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the      ability to collaborate, facilitate constructive discussion and challenge      opposing viewpoints when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researching market trends and      compiling reports about consumer needs, creating marketing campaign      content like graphics, blog posts or social media posts, and executing      marketing events for the credit union.
  • Conducting research to analyze      competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior and prepare      reports by collecting, summarizing and analyzing data.
  • Establishes and evaluates a marketing      strategy and plan, updating calendars and organizing and planning      promotional presentations.
  • Communicating campaign deliverables,      objectives and timelines to the front-line team while providing      instructions for promotion or use.
  • Planning and managing internal and      external events for the credit union’s participation.
  • Is responsible for the planning,      coordination and execution of the credit union’s annual shareholders      meeting and annual staff training day..
  • Maintaining an inventory and      directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are      accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed.
  • Orders and maintains marketing related      supplies. 
  • Continually seeks and researches new      sources of prospective members while providing recommendations and sales      leadership.
  • Uses a data warehouse, MCIF system,      or third-party systems along with other data tools and resources to target      key audiences. 
  • Communicates performance of      campaigns, products and/or services as well as provides data from specific      channels in order to maximize the management of the resource. 
  • Monitors marketing analytics to      identify target audiences and areas for growth. 
  • Creates and executes innovative      marketing campaigns to achieve goals ensuring adherence to brand standards.      
  • Writes, proofreads, and edits      creative and technical content across different mediums.
  • Works with external vendor to develop      the content of the quarterly newsletter.
  • Works with external vendor to manage the      content of the credit union’s website.
  • Manages Google and other search      engine results, working to improve the credit union’s SEO.
  • Manages in-branch marketing      messaging, including signage, handouts, and electronic displays.
  • Is responsible for developing social      media content, postings and responses. 
  • Works with the management team as      well as external partners in order to develop strategic marketing tactics      that deepen product penetration.
  • Schedules and attends community      functions and events tied to SEG new employee orientation and serves as      the face of the credit union in business development activities and      events.
  • Works with external agencies and      vendors to execute marketing programs. 
  • Thoughtfully prioritizes as well as      efficiently utilizes marketing resources in order to launch marketing      campaigns that are in support of reaching strategic goals. 
  • Performs research to identify trends      and analyzes member activity, reporting the analysis and implementing      findings within compelling marketing campaigns.
  • Communicates performance of      campaigns, products and/or services as well as provides data from specific      channels in order to maximize the management of the resource Identifies      areas of potential process improvement and initiates action towards      implementing improvemen.t 
  • Provides service that aligns with the      Credit Union’s mission of delivering relevant products, services, and      information aimed at increasing adoption and engagement.
  • Prepare reports that will be      presented to Executive team and Board of Directors on the results of      marketing plan execution.
  • Works with the management team to      develop media communications strategies and tactics, and assists when      crisis communications are necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
