SUMMARY
The Housing Stability Program Loan Processor works directly with applicants and awardees to collect information needed to complete closing checklists, prepare loan documents, and guide borrowers through the closing process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Program Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize loan files from application to closing.
- Collect proper documentation from all interested parties to ensure files meet regulatory and underwriting requirements.
- Coordinate, prepare, and compile all necessary documentation to ensure accurate and timely loan closings.
- Request title work, appraisals, and other third-party reports from outside vendors.
- Schedule internal and external loan closings and signings.
- Maintain documents within the electronic filing system.
- Assemble and prepare lien releases as necessary.
- Assist in the review and preparation of various program reports.
- Effectively communicate with all parties including awardees, co-workers, title companies, and all other department personnel via email, phone and in person communication.
- Manage real estate documentation, underwriting policies, and compliance procedures.
- Provide program information, training, and technical assistance to interested parties.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of mortgage processing experience
Preference may be given to candidates who possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real estate, or Business Management
Previous experience with escrow-related or mortgage processing
Experience with multiple loan types (FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional)
Experience with loan origination systems (LOS)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain valid driver license
Must be eligible for bonding
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to understand, act on, and interpret policies, regulations and procedures as set forth by the State of Oklahoma, OHFA, HUD, IRS, or other entities governing this program. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, consultants, contractors, HUD, and local, State, and federal officials.
