Description

JJOB DESCRIPTION: Monitors cases. Understands and works with x-ray system, including panning table and recognizing different angles. Manages access site including proper removal of sheath, assessment of hematoma and knowledge of hematoma management. Understands concepts of radiation safety. Knowledgeable in coronary anatomy and recognizing different types of lesions. Basic knowledge of supply features and applications to procedure. Knowledge and adherence to sterile technique. Able to communicate effectively with team, patients, families and medical staff. Cath Lab: Assists in scrub role for procedures such as right & left heart catherization, PCIs and STEMIs. EP Lab: Assist in scrub role for procedures such as cardiac ablations and device implants, ICDs, generator changes, loop recorders MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed AEMT OR National Registered Paramedic (NRP) OR graduate of accredited school of radiologic technology OR accredited school of cardiovascular technology OR academic program in health sciences. Registered as an ARRT with post primary category of cardiac interventional radiography or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES preferred prior to employment or obtained within 24 months of employment as a condition of continued employment
