About the Role

Responsibilities: 

  • Greet patients, prepare them for examinations, and assist in obtaining their medical history. 
  • Conduct preliminary hearing tests and screenings as directed by the audiologist. 
  • Assist in hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and maintenance. 
  • Provide patient education on hearing conservation and the proper use and care of hearing aids. 
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment. 
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and manage patient records and files. 
  • Handle phone calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate audiologist or department. 
  • Assist with billing, insurance verification, and reimbursement processes. 
  • Manage inventory of audiology supplies and order replacements as needed. 
  • Assist audiologists during various audiological evaluations and assessments. 
  • Perform basic audiometric testing, including pure-tone audiometry and speech audiometry. 
  • Conduct impedance testing and otoacoustic emissions testing. 
  • Help with vestibular testing as required. 
  • Adhere to all relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and safety standards. 
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection at all times. 
  • Any other work-related task that may come up from special project as directed by managers. 

Travel Requirements: 

This position involves frequent travel to various healthcare facilities and client locations. The purpose of travel includes conducting on-site assessments, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and providing support in different clinical settings. Should be adaptable to changing schedules, possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage, and be willing to work flexible hours.
