Key Responsibilities
1. Website Ownership & Architecture
- Take full ownership of the corporate website’s performance, uptime, security, and scalability.
- Lead the development and maintenance of custom themes and plugins (specifically within WordPress).
- Manage the deployment pipeline and ensure a seamless staging-to-production workflow.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate UI/UX concepts into responsive, high-performing web pages.
2. SEO Leadership (Technical & Strategic)
- Own the technical SEO roadmap: optimize Core Web Vitals, site speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data (Schema markup).
- Collaborate with content teams to implement on-page SEO strategies.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and fix crawl errors, broken links, and indexing issues.
3. Analytics & Experimentation
- Architect the data layer: manage end-to-end event instrumentation using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4.
- Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate experiments (using tools like VWO, Optimizely, or Google Optimize) to improve conversion rates.
- Translate data into actionable insights for the marketing team.
4. AI-Driven Development
- Champion the use of LLM tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to automate repetitive coding tasks, generate documentation, and speed up troubleshooting.
- Stay updated on AI trends in web development to keep the team efficient and innovative.
5. Leadership
- Lead web development execution (prioritization, sprints, code reviews, standards).
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Sales to keep the funnel and data flow reliable
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in web development with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior "ownership" role.
- Core Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- CMS Expertise: Deep experience with WordPress architecture, including custom PHP development and headless configurations.
- SEO Mastery: Proven track record of improving search rankings through technical optimizations.
- Data Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of GA4 and Google Tag Manager (custom events, triggers, and variables).
- Modern Tooling: Experience using AI/LLMs to accelerate coding workflows.
- Soft Skills: Ability to bridge the gap between technical engineering and marketing goals.
Nice to Have
- Experience with server-side management (AWS, WP Engine, or similar).
- Knowledge of React or Vue.js for interactive components.
- Basic understanding of GDPR/CCPA compliance regarding web tracking.
