About the Role

Description

The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring the activities of guests at Lagoon A Beach Water Park in specified rotation zones, assisting guests out of slides and attractions, facilitating slide operation, and for participating in guest service skills in accordance to Lagoon’s policies and procedures.

This position is seasonal. Seasonal employees perform their work at certain seasons and periods of the year. Their work, by its nature, is not continuous nor is it carried on throughout the year. A seasonal employee who is employed at the conclusion of the season will be terminated.

Requirements

  • Lifeguards must past several written and practical skills tests throughout the training period, each test must be passed by the designated number of correct answers before Lifeguards will be permitted to proceed to the next phase of training.
  • Able to stand, sit and/or walk up to eight (8) hours.
  • Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • Able to swim seventy – five (75) yards continuously in a comfortable fashion, without stopping or touching the bottom of the pool.
  • Able to retrieve a ten (10) pound diving brink from a depth of five (5) feet and bring to the surface of the pool.
  • Able to respond quickly to provide assistance to guests, perform rescues of guests and guest evacuations on slides and attractions.
  • Able to provide verbal instructions to guest relating to safe use of slides and attractions.
