About the Role

Description

The First Aid Attendant is responsible for providing first aid treatment to Lagoon Employees and guests in accordance with company policies and procedures. The First Aid Attendant must maintain a current EMT Certification or higher from the State of Utah and have practiced skills. Other equivalent or advanced medical certification may be considered (i.e. paramedic, registered nurse, etc.). Because of the nature of the Safety & Security department, the First Aid Attendant will carry a two way radio at all times. The First Aid Attendant must also be able to respond promptly and efficiently to any situation.

This position is seasonal. Seasonal employees perform their work at certain seasons and periods of the year. Their work, by its nature, is not continuous nor is it carried on throughout the year. A seasonal employee who is employed at the conclusion of the season will be terminated.

Requirements

  • The First Aid Attendant will be responsible for staffing the First Aid stations during Park operation and provide timely first aid treatment to Lagoon employees and guests.
  • First Aid Attendants will accurately and completely record all incidents on the proper first aid forms.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be certified by the State of Utah as a practicing EMT. Previous EMT experience is appreciated. Other equivalent or advanced medical certifications may be considered (i.e. paramedic, registered nurse, etc.)
  • Able to make quick and effective decisions and take control of stressful or volatile situations calmly and patiently and in a professional manner.
  • Able to write legibly to complete reports.
  • Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling bending and lifting.
  • Able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • Requires occasional early arrivals and/or late night departures.
