The Merchandise Sales Associate is responsible for the operation of merchandise locations in accordance with Lagoon’s policies and procedures. Sales Associates will be acting as salesperson, selling retail items to Lagoon guests, ringing up purchases on a cash register, stocking, counting, and organizing merchandise inventory, and keeping merchandise locations clean and orderly.
This position is seasonal. Seasonal employees perform their work at certain seasons and periods of the year. Their work, by its nature, is not continuous nor is it carried on throughout the year. A seasonal employee who is employed at the conclusion of the season will be terminated.
Requirements
- Able to stand, sit and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours.
- Able to work effectively independently as well as in a group.
- Able to handle cash, complete basic math calculations, operate cash registers and credit card machines as well as count back change while also interacting with Lagoon’s guests.
- Able to speak to give other employees and guests verbal instructions.
- Shift times will vary depending on the need of the department, however most shifts will be in the afternoon/evening.
