Description
EHS Technologies Corporation currently has a need for a Technician – Energetics Testing (Part-time) in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC-IHD), Maryland.
Description:
Some work will be located at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Indian Head, but majority of testing will take place at Blossom Point (Welcome, MD) and Fort A.P. Hill (Bowling Green, VA). Situational telework may be authorized. Most of the job will require on-site presence at NSWC-IHD, Blossom Point, or Fort A.P. Hill.
Provide engineering and technician support in the areas of testing energetic materials and items in the following areas :
· Range testing of energetic materials and devices
· Provide expert support of test instrumentation and diagnostics including high-speed videography, troubleshooting, and data acquisition.
· Perform assembly of test assets and integrate with instrumentation as required.
· Review test procedures and recommend changes as appropriate.
· Test plan writing, data analysis, and test reporting; Providing expertise as it relates to compliance with regulations and instructions published by DoD as well as federal, state, and local environmental agencies; Generating and providing support for the review and generation of technical documentation including directives and tools.
Specific duties include providing support to analyze processes, procedures, devices and equipment requirements
Requirements
At least 20 years’ experience of technician support in testing of energetic materials.
Senior test technician background in instrumentation, high speed cameras, pressure, temperature, advanced optical diagnostics.
Experience with set-up for energetic tests, determining which instrumentation to use, its capabilities, how to protect it, and understanding how to efficiently run an acquisition set-up for testing.
Experience with hands-on energetics and assembling testing devices and instruments safely.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
The candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
The candidate must be willing to submit to random drug testing.
