Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Housekeeping to join our team at ibis Styles Mysuru, India. As a GSA - Housekeeping, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for our valued guests.

  • Attend daily briefings and complete assigned tasks efficiently and thoroughly
  • Clean and maintain guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures
  • Replenish guest supplies and promptly attend to guest requests
  • Report any damage, malfunction, or unusual activities in hotel rooms or public areas to the supervisor
  • Maintain accurate room status records and daily productivity reports
  • Handle guest complaints tactfully and report incidents to the supervisor in a timely manner
  • Carry out valet services when required, such as linen delivery and laundry order processing
  • Adhere to fire safety and emergency procedures
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in regular training sessions and meetings as assigned by management
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic English language proficiency for guest communication
  • Familiarity with luxury hotel standards is a plus
