Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of IT to lead all information technology operations at Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Istanbul. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of all hotel IT systems while supporting uninterrupted hotel operations and delivering a seamless guest experience.

The Director of IT will manage the hotel’s IT infrastructure, systems, vendors, and budget in line with Accor standards, ensuring compliance, operational continuity, and continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all IT operations within the hotel, ensuring system stability, security, and high availability
  • Oversee hotel technology systems including PMS, POS, finance systems, networks, servers, and interfaces
  • Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, access controls, and compliance with Accor policies and local regulations
  • Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Manage the IT budget, cost control, and asset planning
  • Coordinate software upgrades, system releases, maintenance, and preventive support programs
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, software licensing, and service level agreements
  • Provide timely technical support to hotel operations, minimizing downtime and operational impact
  • Collaborate with department heads to improve operational efficiency through technology solutions
  • Prepare and present regular reports on IT performance, incidents, risks, and improvement actions
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure IT audit readiness at all times
  • Lead, develop, and evaluate the IT team, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 8–12 years of professional IT experience, including senior leadership responsibility
  • Proven experience managing IT operations in hospitality or other 24/7 operational environments (hospitality experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, system administration, and disaster recovery
  • Hands-on experience with hotel systems and system interfaces
  • Solid understanding of IT governance, compliance requirements, and audit processes
  • Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, contracts, and software licensing
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational involvement
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics
