Position Overview


Zero Dropouts (ZD) is seeking a dynamic, adaptable Temporary Outreach & Engagement Coordinator to strengthen our case management, enrollment, and student engagement processes across programs in Metro Denver. This role focuses on proactive outreach, relationship-based follow-up, and coordination with internal teams to help students move from interest ? enrolled ? actively participating.


Key Responsibilities


Outreach and Engagement

  • Conduct direct outreach to prospective and enrolled students to support enrollment, re-engagement, and consistent participation.
  • Use real-time outreach work as a testing ground for refining engagement and follow-up strategies.
  • Model relationship-centered outreach practices that balance persistence, care, and clear boundaries.
  • Assist with preparing outreach materials, call lists, and follow-up plans as needed.

Enrollment and Case Management Support

  • Help design, refine, and document scalable case management strategies that support outreach, enrollment, and engagement.
  • Help identify gaps, friction points, and inefficiencies in current case management approaches as they relate to outreach and enrollment.
  • Help to develop tools, workflows, and decision-making frameworks that support consistent, effective outreach practices.
  • Leverage case management knowledge to shape outreach approaches, maintain appropriate role boundaries, and ensure students are connected to the right supports at the right time.

Coordination and Documentation

  • Collaborate with program staff to identify prioritized outreach needs (new leads, stalled enrollments, low engagement, attendance follow-up, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contact attempts, student status, and next steps in ZD systems and tracking tools.
  • Escalate urgent concerns or complex student situations to appropriate staff based on established protocols.

Flex Support Across Programs

  • Demonstrate flexibility in responding to prioritized needs across multiple programs and locations.
  • Maintain open, proactive communication with ZD staff to ensure alignment and continuity.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport quickly with diverse learners.
  • Experience in outreach, enrollment support, case management support, youth development, education, or community engagement preferred.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through; comfortable managing multiple student follow-ups simultaneously.
  • Ability to use data tools/systems for documentation and coordination (e.g., spreadsheets, CRMs, student information systems).
  • Empathy, professionalism, and skill navigating sensitive situations with care and boundaries.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus (not required).

Work Schedule & Location

  • Part-time; temporary; on-call based on program needs
  • Metro Denver locations and/or remote outreach (as assigned)

Compensation

$27.88–$33.65 per hour
