Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Courier.  

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Adheres to set schedule
• Deliver and pick up lab specimens, the primary responsibility according to a set schedule established by the LAB
• Pick up and deliver interoffice mail bins, drop bank deposits, post office mail, and central supply or purchasing items.
• Run STAT labs as required 
• Communicate any issues affecting your vehicle or issues keeping the LABS schedule to the Facilities Coordinator
• Maintain LAB bags/coolers, devices or ice packs for proper temperatures
• Keep the vehicle clean inside and out. Do NOT personalize the vehicle
• Monthly basic vehicle checks
• Salt satellite entryways as needed. Light snow removal (Seasonal) 
• Sweep satellite entryways as needed. Debris removal (Seasonal) 
• Proper loading and unloading of the vehicle
• Deliver other items as needed by request
• Defensive Driver course completed yearly

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience:

• Courier experience preferred. 

Other Requirements:

• A valid Utah driver’s license is required. 
• No MVR violations.
• Must be 23 years of age or older to meet company insurance requirements. 
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Abilities:

• Adhere to strict delivery/pick up schedule established by the LAB
• Basic vehicle safety awareness
• Punctuality a must 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Equipment Operated:

• Any courier vehicles - pallet jacks, hand carts, dolly's  

Work Environment:

• Heavy traffic, light traffic, school crossings, severe weather, being in your vehicle most of the day. 

Mental/Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to deal with occasional stress.
