ABOUT THE JOB!

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities of receiving, inventory, issuing, shipping materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. Manages movement of finished goods and parts within the stockroom.

Requirements

Must be able to perform the following:

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Motivate and coach stockroom employees

· Proactive approach to solving problems and implementing solutions.

· Able to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.

· Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.

· Knowledge of UPS Tracking World Ship software, FedEx Ship Manager 

· At least 5 years’ experience in shipping / receiving environment.

· Logistics experience in Import / Export

· Experience with cycle counting programs and inventory accuracy improvement

· Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledgeable in Incoterms

· Knowledge of shipping of dangerous goods as well as appropriate DOT requirements

· High School Diploma/Equivalent required.

· Experience in SAP a plus

· Experience in aerospace environment a plus

· Some college a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Performs daily management of material handling, shipping, receiving, and data entry.

· Manage layout of stockroom considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. 

· Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping materials. 

· Maintain and review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.

· Schedules work for special and periodic inventories. 

· Support and drive continuous process improvement 

· Process both customer and vendor returns as required

· Support cycle count program to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Action for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records. 

· Determines and documents work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. 

· Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. 

· Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. 

· Works with Buyers to resolve invoicing and receipt issues

· Manage department to planned budget

· Review and coordinates logistics on both import and export of goods with Supply Chain. 

· Works closely with Sales/Customer service to support customer orders and requests 

· Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required
