Description
We are seeking a creative and motivated Interior Designer to support interior and exterior design projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for an early-career designer who is eager to grow professionally, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to innovative, practical design solutions across a variety of projects and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Development
- Develop 3D concepts, floor plans, elevations, and construction details
- Create compelling visual presentations, renderings, and graphic design layouts
- Apply strong spatial planning and object placement within interior and exterior environments
- Prepare inspiration boards and sample development boards for presentations
- Demonstrate understanding of architectural elements, décor styles, and FF&E
- Source, specify, and document proposed materials and FF&E throughout the design process
- Apply basic knowledge of construction materials and methods
Collaboration & Project Support
- Participate in and lead internal design reviews with project teams
- Support company-wide and departmental design initiatives
- Assist Graphic Design staff with 2D production layouts as needed
- Support additional projects on an as-needed basis
- Maintain positive public relations and a professional, adaptable attitude
Professional Development & Operations
- Manage time effectively while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Take initiative to expand skills through design trends, training, and industry events
- Participate in annual project site visits to support buildability, logistics, and execution
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- 0–3 years of professional experience (internships and academic experience considered)

Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of interior design principles and spatial planning
- Proficiency with SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Ability to translate design concepts into computer-aided renderings
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively while managing multiple priorities
Work Environment & Requirements
- Full-time, in-office position based in Winston-Salem, NC
- Primarily office-based with occasional work in a production/printing environment
- Minimal travel required; occasional extended hours or weekend work may be necessary
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to occasionally lift objects and stand or walk for extended periods
