About the Role

Description

  • The HR Generalist (Employee Relations and Site Support) is responsible for consistent execution of employee relations processes, investigations, performance documentation support, onboarding schedules, and safety administration across BonaDent locations. This role partners closely with supervisors and site leaders to ensure fair, timely, and well-documented people decisions that protect the business and support employee success.

Requirements

Employee Relations and Investigations:

  • Manage employee relations casework including intake, fact finding, investigations, documentation, and recommendations aligned to policy and local practice.
  • Support managers with corrective action documentation, coaching plans, and performance improvement plans using standardized templates.
  • Maintain confidential case files and ensure consistent escalation of high-risk issues.

Onboarding Execution and Employee Lifecycle Support:

  • Own onboarding execution readiness for assigned sites, including first-week schedules, checklists, and manager coordination.
  • Coordinate onboarding training schedules and role readiness milestones while the Training and Development Manager role remains vacant.
  • Support employee transfers, role changes, and offboarding checklists in partnership with HR Operations for HRIS processing.

Safety Administration and Incident Follow-Through:

  • Own HR-side safety administration: incident tracking, documentation, follow-up coordination, and reporting support.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to reinforce safety expectations and timely corrective actions after incidents.

Compliance Support and Reporting:

  • Support policy and handbook rollout through manager education, acknowledgement tracking, and adherence monitoring.
  • Coordinate with HR Operations on required reporting inputs (EEO, OSHA) and maintain supporting documentation.

Key Performance Measurements:

  • Employee relations case cycle time, documentation completeness, and consistency across locations.
  • Onboarding schedule readiness and on-time completion of onboarding milestones.
  • Safety incident administrative closeout time and documentation quality.
  • Reduction in repeat issues through effective coaching, documentation, and follow-through.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 Years of experience as an HR Generalist or Similar Role or Degree in human resources, plus 3 years of experience. 
  • Experience using HR technology and HRIS to streamline processes, maintain data integrity, and support reporting; Paylocity experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting HR in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations and build trust with diverse teams; occasional travel to satellite locations may be required, including for investigations and site support.
  • Experience handling employee relations cases, investigations, and performance documentation with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance fundamentals (attendance, leave coordination, respectful workplace, and documentation standards).
  • Ability to coach leaders through difficult conversations and maintain calm, consistent follow-through.
  • Strong written communication skills for documentation, summaries, and manager guidance.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations and build trust with diverse teams.
