We pride ourselves on the connections our people build, many of whom have been with us for over ten years.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;Job title:&nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>Financial Crime Manager<strong> &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>Operational Effectiveness and Controls Lead <strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; </strong></p> <p><strong>Role type:&nbsp; </strong>Permanent</p> <p><strong>SMCR classification:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>Conduct Rules Staff</p> <p><strong>Team overview – </strong>The role sits in the Compliance function</p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities:&nbsp; </strong></p> <p>Main responsibilities include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Perform ongoing monitoring of KYC and dealing / advising on escalations and referrals for higher risk cases or exceptions</li> <li>Support on investigations into suspected fraud cases both on the pensions and mortgage side of the business</li> <li>Support with AML/CTF regulations, sanctions regimes and mortgage fraud regulatory reporting obligations</li> <li>Perform financial crime risk assessments across the insurance, asset and mortgage business focusing on fraud, money laundering and sanctions exposure</li> <li>Produce regular reports and dashboards for senior management including updates to the control effectiveness framework for Compliance</li> <li>Support financial crime-related communications surveillance and alerts generated by Rothesay’s surveillance platform</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>General responsibilities – applicable to all Compliance Team members:</p> <p>Both through your defined responsibilities and more generally, you are responsible for driving a positive compliance culture. Specifically, you are personally responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding and complying with the requirements and expectations set out in the Compliance Framework</li> <li>Ensuring you and Rothesay as a whole act to deliver good customer outcomes in line with the requirements of the FCA’s Consumer Duty</li> <li>Ensuring you maintain a strong grasp of the regulatory change agenda, playing an active part in forward-looking activities such as horizon-scanning</li> <li>Providing input into the Compliance Function’s risk management processes, toolkits and annual planning process</li> <li>Observing Rothesay’s Compliance Standards and the PRA/FCA Conduct Rules, remaining fit and proper and notifying the CCO of any material changes in your circumstances</li> <li>Taking personal responsibility for remaining competent for the work you do, proactively managing and recording your professional learning and development</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Skills and experience required:&nbsp; </strong></p> <ul> <li>Expertise in consulting with and advising internal stakeholders preferably with financial crime and fraud risk advisory</li> <li>Experience working in a high-profile financial services environment.
