Summary:

As a Skip Trace Administrator, you will locate customers and collateral using various investigative (skip tracing) techniques. All duties must be performed with a high degree of professionalism and integrity while following all applicable laws and regulations. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and perform all daily skip trace activities to locate individuals for payment of debt.
  • Manage all accounts that have been assigned 
  • Completes required applicable paperwork to assist management needs.
  • Locate Owner contact information via skip tracing systems and tools.
  • Maintain and manage assigned owners accounts in in system.
  • Communicate with agents to assist with account maintenance needs.
  • Ability to work with management in a proactive manner.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Gather, analyze, or evaluate information from a variety of sources, such as court records, credit header data, people location software
  • Use various location databases and software packages to locate owners subject to collection (TLO, Lexis Nexis)
  • This position works under moderate supervision and does not supervise others.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Skip Tracer
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (FDCPA & CFPB)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Patience and ability to manage stress
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Doesn’t mind repetitive tasks
  • Excellent research skills (specifically internet-based research)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to recognize accurate data sources
  • Ability to quickly recognize errors and inaccurate information
  • Ability to locate information via multiple sources and create a cohesive result
  • Organized

  • 45+ wpm typing
  • Basic spreadsheet skills
  • Strong work ethic with an “above and beyond” attitude
  • Strong self-learning abilities

Required Education & Training:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months office experience or equivalent education and training.
  • Previous collections experience.
  • Strong understanding of skip tracing and systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
