The Business Unit Head will be responsible for driving market expansion and revenue growth in the Flavors and Fragrance chemical segment. This includes building a high-performing sales team, managing key accounts, and executing strategic sales plans.

We offer access to 25+ contract manufacturing sites, R&D facilities and labs to carry out hazardous and complex reactions. Reliability is our north-star metric. Our customers find us reliable, both in terms of quality and promised lead times. We take end-to-end ownership of product quality. Through our network of NABL accredited labs, every product goes through a strict QC process before being dispatched so our customers get peace of mind. You get end-to-end visibility of your supply chain at all points in time. All the delays beyond our control will be known proactively for you to take your production planning decisions. We combine our technical expertise with excellent supplier relationships to give you an unprecedented customer experience. We have carefully built our team consisting of chemists and chemical engineers who’ve worked in multinationals that have served brands like BASF, Bayer, Syngenta, and other global players. We’re your true sourcing partners, an extension to your own sourcing team.

Roles and Responsibilities

 

Market Expansion & Revenue Growth

  • Own growth for the Flavors and Fragrance chemical segment in the US  by expanding into new regions, acquiring untapped customers, and increasing Elchemy’s market share and profitability.

 Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing, accountable sales team. Set clear KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation.

 Customer & Key Account Management

  • Deepen client relationships through structured key account management. Ensure satisfaction, grow wallet share, and position Elchemy as a strategic partner.

 Strategic Sales Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Elchemy’s vision. Prioritize high-impact opportunities and drive cross-functional execution to meet revenue and margin goals.

 Digital Enablement & Innovation

  • Drive adoption of CRM, automation, and analytics to streamline sales operations, enhance customer engagement, and enable data-driven decisions.

 Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Provide clear, actionable insights on sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to inform strategic direction and mitigate risks.
 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities.
  • 8+  years of proven experience in B2B technical sales in the Flavors and Fragrance chemical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performance sales teams.
  • Ability to manage distributor networks, channel partners, and enterprise accounts
  • Ability to align team goals with overall business strategy and P&L objectives
  • Preferred qualities include entrepreneurial mindset, strong techno-commercial acumen, excellent networking skills, ownership, commitment, and high emotional intelligence.
