The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Marketing Intern to become a vital part of our Marketing team. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable, hands-on experience in critical areas of relationship-focused marketing, including customer engagement, representative communications, and new customer acquisition initiatives.


In this role, you will assist with dynamic projects that directly strengthen our brand relationships, including content creation, email marketing, social media support, performance reporting, and various special projects. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing and Project Management teams, directly contributing to our overall growth and brand loyalty success. Things you’ll do to rock this role:


Representative Support & Engagement:

  • Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials and communications for representatives and key customer groups.
  • Intake and vet representative requests and collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager and project management teams to prioritize requests. 
  • Curate content from representatives to use in various marketing efforts. 
  • Be a liaison between Burke and the representative partners, establishing timelines, aligning priorities and keeping projects moving forward.

Email Marketing:

  • Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting email content (copy, subject lines, preheaders) ensuring alignment with brand voice and goals.
  • Assist in setting up, testing, and deploying email campaigns (newsletters, promotions, automated flows).
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure flawless email execution.
  • Maintain the email marketing calendar for representatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Assist with list segmentation and data hygiene to ensure accurate and targeted communication.

Social Media & Digital Content:

  • Oversee monthly content calendars that align with customer goals.
  • Assist in developing, curating, and scheduling engaging content (text, image, and video) for platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn.
  • Support digital campaigns that highlight customer success stories, product launches or partner spotlights. 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas that strengthen customer and representative relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Pull and organize data from email, social media and other systems to support campaign reporting.
  • Assist in analyzing trends and providing recommendations for future marketing efforts.

Special Projects:

  • Contribute to ongoing marketing initiatives, event support and promotional activities as needed.

Qualifications That Move Us!

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, design and grammar, essential for drafting emails and marketing content.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and understanding of their respective audiences.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact) is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-player with a collaborative attitude.
  • Understanding of basic project workflows and timelines, and an interest in maintaining project alignment and deadline

Value Added Skills:

Basic experience or aptitude for creating or curating digital content (e.g., using tools like Canva or Adobe Express for simple graphics).
