Commercial Truck & Mobile Repair is seeking an experienced DIESEL MECHANIC. This opportunity is a dedicated on-site position, our company does not provide emergency side of the road type of repairs. Our Diesel Mechanic will master troubleshooting skills, and develop a broad knowledge to properly diagnose, maintain and repair tractors and trailers. We service all makes trucks, engines and transmissions including Cat, Cummins, Detroit, Mercedes, Int’l engines, Eaton and Allison transmissions.

Responsibilities for our Mobile Diesel Mechanic include but are not limited to:

  • Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks, such as brakes, tires, wiring, etc.;
  • Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on vehicles, along with DOT inspections;
  • Repair/replace vehicle components;
  • Open and close repair orders on company issued iPad;
  • Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck;
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion;
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most SRT times

Qualifications to apply for this role are:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required);
  • Minimum of 3 years of Diesel Technician experience preferred;
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Valid Driver's License is required;
  • CDL-A preferred but not required;
  • Ability to use iPad and associated apps;
  • Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions;
  • Proficient computer skills/software navigation capabilities to document repairs and use email;
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
